Director Experience

Become A director!

Take a seat in the Director’s chair! Submit your videos before (Date: Coming Soon).  Submissions will be posted on our page where votes can be made. 

Who’s eligible?

• All registered dancers

Submission Instructions

• Register for Neovate
• Register to become a Director
• Send in a 45 second Slate Video stating your name and how you’d describe your choreographic voice
• Send in a 45 second Choreography Video showcasing your choreography. This can be a video of yourself or of other dancers and may be from any setting
• Send in a 45 second Improv Video showcasing your improv abilities. This should be a fresh, up-to-date video to any song of your choosing (We will not accept Improv Videos taken at previous conventions or competitions)

Director’s Journey

• 1 on 1 mentor time with a Neovate Faculty Member
• Choreograph a piece for a group of Neovate attendees that will be showcased at the event
• Work alongside our lighting director to put the finishing touches on your work

What will you win?

• Director’s Trophy
• An opportunity to choreograph a piece in an Intrigue Welcome Show
• An opportunity to teach an Intrigue Creative Session class
